Ahhhh…Few things feel better than slipping on that perfect pair of jeans that make you look and feel comfortable, confident and chic. That perfect pair can be elusive, but the following style secrets will help you easily find your favorite denim for day and night.
TAME YOUR TUMMY Select a moderate rise, which is about eight to nine inches from crotch to waist. The waistband should hit just below your belly button, so that it will cover and smooth your stomach. Also look for a wide waistband and a small bit of stretch. Both provide a subtle, tummy-taming effect. Our T3 line offers subtle control via a stretch-fabric panel in front and a midrange waistband for instant flattery.
THROW THE WORLD A CURVE Curvier silhouettes shine in a style with a higher rise in the back than in the front. The contoured waistband should hit at the hipbone and bellybutton to help reduce the dreaded gap in the back. Flatter your curvy hips with a tapered leg with roomier thighs and slim your thighs with a rigid fabric with less stretch.
GIVE IT TO YOU STRAIGHT A straight figure has the luxury of being able to wear a variety of rises and styles, including our Genius Fit. In general, a slimmer style with tighter fit and a waistband that runs straight across the middle is your best bet. To create the illusion of curves, try a silhouette that flares out below the knees. Give a little boost to your bottom by wearing jeans with pockets where the bottom of the pocket hits where the cheek meets the thigh.
PETITE PERFECTION Create the illusion of a longer leg and a more toned look in the hips and waist with a dark rinse, straight leg style that always flatters and lengthens your petite look. Don’t be afraid to buy a style that looks good and hem the jeans to work with heels. When wearing heels with your bootcuts or straight leg jeans, make sure the hem is about 1cm off of the floor, if the hem of your jeans covers the heel it will give the illusion of longer and leaner legs. Try a cute boot cut or sexy, cropped skinnies, too!
